Gozen Arts Musical Summer Camp 2026 — Bangkok
The Wicked Musical Summer Camp 2026
Our standard musical theatre programme is built for the busy school year. But summer is the time for complete focus.
Introducing the Wicked Musical Summer Camp 2026. For the first time, Gozen Arts is offering a full ten-day intensive—over 30 hours of elite performance training across two weeks, ending with a live production on the Black Box stage at Mahidol University.
Built around the music and story of Wicked, our scriptwriters adapt the production specifically to the cast we assemble. With strictly ten lead roles available, this is our most ambitious, personalized summer camp yet. This guide outlines exactly what to expect from this highly focused experience.

Why the Wicked Musical Camp 2026 is different
Most of what we do at Gozen Arts is built around small classes that fit into a busy school year. Our regular Musical Theatre course is 20 hours of training spread across weekends, ending with a performance at Bravo BKK, or a stage such as the one we use for the summer camp. It works beautifully for families balancing schoolwork, exams, and other commitments.
The Wicked Musical Summer Camp is the version of that programme we have always wanted to run when the student's school schedule isn't a constraint.
It is almost double the teaching hours. It is ten consecutive weekdays of immersion, the way professional cast rehearsals actually work. It is performed at a real theatre — Mahidol University's Black Box, used by working theatre companies and university productions. And it is built around a story your child probably already loves: Wicked, adapted by our writers so the script, songs, and characters fit the cast that walks through the door on day one.
"The momentum builds differently when a child is in the studio every weekday for two weeks. By day five, the script feels like their own sentences. By day ten, the show feels like theirs."
What ten days of immersion actually looks like
The camp runs Monday through Friday for two weeks. Each day runs from 10:00 to 14:00 at our Saki Studio in Ari. Private coaching sessions with Yanika Gozen are included and scheduled around your family's availability outside the daily window.
Week 01: The Foundation
We build the base. This week focuses on vocal coaching for each role, character work with the director, and learning the newly adapted script. Weekends are strict rest days—we have learned children need this recovery time for breakthroughs to happen.
Week 02: The Integration
We shift toward staging. This involves choreography, polishing harmonies, scene blocking, and costume fittings. It culminates on Friday, 17 July, with the final performance at Mahidol University's Black Box Theatre, professionally filmed for families.
What makes this the best musical summer camp?
The same principles that have made our regular musical theatre course the strongest in the city carry into the summer camp, just at greater depth.
The Solo Guarantee
Every student is the lead singer of at least one song. There is no scenario in which a child finishes without standing at the front of a real stage as the focal point of a musical number.
Adapted Scripts
Once roles are assigned, the lines are adjusted to fit your child specifically. By performance day, your child's role is written for them, not just handed to them.
Strictly 10 Roles
Not twenty, not fifteen. Ten students working in close collaboration. Every child gets meaningful stage time and meaningful character development.
Costumes Kept
Whatever your child wears on the Mahidol Black Box stage comes home with them that evening as a lifelong memento of their achievement.
Portfolio 4K Video
Every show is professionally filmed. Edited footage is delivered to every family afterwards—perfect for casting profiles and audition reels.
Catered Meals
Nutritious meals and water are provided daily, with halal, vegetarian, and allergy-safe options. You don't need to pack a lunchbox.
Who this Wicked Musical Camp is for
The camp is designed for ages 7 to 17, with roles assigned based on the skills and personalities of our students. The audition is what tells us where each child belongs.
The Ideal Fit
- Your child loves to sing, perform, or is fascinated by theatre.
- Your family is available for ten consecutive weekdays of focused work.
- You want a real, portfolio-grade outcome by the end of summer.
- Your child is shy. (About 60% of our students join to build confidence—this small, supportive cast is exactly where shy children grow.)
Not the Best Fit
- You're looking for a casual, drop-in activity just to fill a few hours.
- Your child is unable to commit to daily attendance for the two weeks.
- The age of your child is below 7. (Though 6-year-olds may apply, approval is strictly based on developmental readiness).
How auditions work
Auditions are gentle. We are not looking to filter children out — we are looking to place them in a role that fits where they currently are vocally, where they can grow without being overwhelmed.
The Gentle Audition
The process takes about twenty minutes. Your child sings something they know (any song, any language, no preparation needed) and reads a short passage with our director. This simply shows us their starting point.
The Chit-Chat
After singing, we chat. We want to understand the student's personality and ensure their energy fits harmoniously with the other cast members.
The Casting
Roles are assigned based on vocal range, acting capability, and personality. While student preferences are heavily considered, the director makes the final call to ensure everyone shines. A full role list and production packet are then shared.
Ready to join the cast?
Audition slots are strictly limited—ten lead roles means a maximum of ten core cast members, and we tend to fill the cohort early. We would absolutely love to meet your child.
